Northwest Africa 15141 (NWA 15141)

Purchased: 2022

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3)

History: The meteorite was purchased from a group of meteorites hunters in Nouadhibou, Mauritania, in April, 2022.

Physical characteristics: Two brownish fragments without fusion crust.

Petrography: The meteorite shows a chondritic texture with well-defined, partly flattened, and packed chondrules (mean diameter about 0.9 mm) in a more fine-grained dark brownish matrix that contains sulfides and rare FeNi metal.
