Northwest Africa 15146 (NWA 15146) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2022 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H4) History: The meteorite was purchased from a group of meteorites hunters in Nouadhibou, Mauritania, in May, 2022. Physical characteristics: Brownish fragment without fusion crust. Petrography: The meteorite shows a chondritic texture with well-defined, mostly rounded, partly packed chondrules (apparent mean diameter about 0.4 mm) set in a brownish matrix containing abundant and partly altered metal and sulfides. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
