Purchased: 2008

Classification: Primitive achondrite (Brachinite)

History: The meteorite was purchased from a local meteorite dealer in Erfoud, Morocco.

Physical characteristics: Twenty-one brownish fragments without fusion crust.

Petrography: The meteorite shows an equilibrated texture (120° triple junctions) and is predominantly composed of olivine (>90 vol.%) and Ca-pyroxene. Grains sizes of the silicates vary between 200 and 1000 μm. Accessories include FeS and FeNi metal. Feldspar and low-Ca pyroxene were not detected in the section studied. Metal is often replaced by alteration products decorating the grain boundaries and cracks are filled with terrestrial clacite.
