Thin Section Description (,2) - Cari Corrigan, Tim McCoy
These two brecciated sections consist of fine to medium grained ophitic basalts with apparent shock darkening as veins and patches. Modest iron oxide staining exists in both sections. One 6 mm (max dimension) clast in DOM 18291 exhibits a fine grained, granular texture. Pyroxenes are Fs26-60Wo2-44 and feldspars are An82-86Or1. These two meteorites are similar enough to consider pairing and are eucrites.
