Northwest Africa 12934 (NWA 12934) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: Oct 2018 Classification: Angrite Petrography: The meteorite mainly consists of irregular plagioclase (28 vol%, grain size 0.24 mm), olivine (31 vol%, grain size 0.96 mm) and pyroxene (41vol%, grain size 0.54 mm) and show a diabasic texture. Accessory troilite and ilmenite can be observed. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa40.1-42.7, CaO content is 1.09 wt% , FeO/MnO=73.4-98.7, N=18; Pyroxene Fs7.7-11.7, Wo52.8-56.4, Al2O3 content is 7.08 wt%; TiO2 content is 1.34 wt%, FeO/MnO=55.1-193.2, N=8; Plagioclase An99.2-99.8 (EPMA). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
