Northwest Africa 6294 (NWA 6294)

Classification: HED achondrite (Eucrite, polymict)

Petrography: (A. Irving and S. Kuehner, UWS): Polymict breccia composed mostly of fine grained annealed basaltic eucrite clasts and debris, with sparse material derived from diogenites.

Geochemistry: Orthopyroxene (Fs45.8-54.6Wo1.5-3.2; FeO/MnO = 34.3-38.3), clinopyroxene (Fs20.7-33.6Wo39.5-34.6; FeO/MnO = 28.1-34.1), calcic plagioclase, ilmenite, chromite and troilite.
