Thin Section (,4) Description - Tim McCoy and Linda Welzenbach
The section shows a groundmass of comminuted pyroxene and plagioclase (up to 0.5 mm) with fine- to coarse-grained basaltic clasts ranging up to 3 mm. Large, mm-sized metal particles are relatively common in this section. Pyroxene includes diogenite-like compositions (Fs20-30Wo1-2) and eucrite-like compositions (Fs28-60Wo2-42). Plagioclase is An89-96. The meteorite is a howardite.
