Northwest Africa 14285 (NWA 14285) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2020 Classification: Iron meteorite (IAB-sLH) Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Iron meteorite composed of plessite. Troilite nodules (to 200 µm) containing µm-sized metal blebs and dendritic kamacite are common. Geochemistry: (H. Pourkhorsandi and V. Debaille, ULB): Composition of the metal (ICP-MS) is Co=0.77±0.02, Ni=20.99±0.31 (both in wt% ±1 sigma), Cr=0.27±0.15, Cu=347±3, Ga=4.09±0.24, Ge=4.42±0.23, As=21.63±0.90, Mo=3.40±0.03, Pd=8.86±0.13, W=0.23, Ir=0.06±0.01, Au=2.00±0.21 (all in ppm ±1 sigma).
