Derrick Peak 88017 to 88025 Victoria Land, Antarctica Found December 1988 Iron. Coarsest octahedrite (IIB). Nine iron meteorites weighing 76 g to 63 kg (total weight 74 kg) were found by a geologic field party from the New Zealand Antarctic Research Programme. Derrick Peak 88017 to 88025 are almost certainly all paired with the Derrick Peak A78001 to 78016 specimens which were found in the same area, R. S. Clarke, Meteoritics 17, 1982, 129, and have the meteorite name Derrick Peak A78001. Classification and discovery details from M. P. Kirkbride, M. A. Bradshaw and F. J. Harmsen, Meteoritics, in press. Main masses are at the Canterbury Museum, Christchurch, New Zealand.
