Northwest Africa 11736 (NWA 11736) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2017 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L3) History: The meteorite was purchased from a local meteorite dealer in Algeria. Physical characteristics: Light brownish individual without fusion crust. Petrography: The meteorite shows a chondritic texture with clearly defined, sometimes deformed packed chondrules (mean diameter about 0.7 mm) in a fine-grained matrix of mineral and chondrule fragments, FeNi metal and sulfides. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
