Los Vientos 321 (LoV 321) 24°41’S, 69°46’W Antofagasta, Chile Find: 2018 Apr Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3) History: Found in the Atacama desert. Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Chondrite with well-delineated, packed chondrules. Opaque are metal and troilite. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa23.8±8.6, range Fa14.0-37.2, Fa PMD 33% (n=12). Low-Ca pyroxene Fs15.6±13.5Wo1.4±1.2, range Fs1.0-38.2 (n=7). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3). LL group from magnetic susceptibility. Specimens: Type specimen and a polished section at CERGEGE. Main mass at ArtMet collection. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
