Kerman 162 30°45.511’N, 57°47.936’E Kerman, Iran Find: 2016 May Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H5) History: Found in the corridors of Kalout region of the Lut Desert during a systematic search for meteorites. Petrography: Microscopic observations of a polished mount reveal a chondritic texture with recrystallized matrix. Plagioclase average size is less than 50 μm. Weathering products occur as veins and in situ alteration of FeNi metal and troilite. Melt pockets are present. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
