Northwest Africa 14622 (NWA 14622) Mali Purchased: March 2020 Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CV3) Petrography: The rock mainly consists of chondrules and abundant fine grained matrix (~50 vol.%). The size of chondrules is up to 1.5 mm and CAIs are up to 1 mm in diameter. Main silicates include olivine and pyroxene. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa0.1-50.0, N=26; low-Ca pyroxene Fs1.2-2.2, Wo 0.9-4.4, N=15 (from EDS) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
