Northwest Africa 11832 (NWA 11832) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2018 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L, melt rock) History: The meteorite was purchased from a local meteorite dealer in Morocco. Physical characteristics: Almost black individual partly covered with fusion crust. Petrography: The meteorite displays an almost black interior and consists of abundant and partly recrystallized shock melt regions with characteristic FeNi metal and sufide spherules. Few relict chondrules and mineral fragments are present; no metal or sulfide veins are observed. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
