Caleta el Cobre 059 (CeC 059) 24°13’10.9"S, 70°18’38.4"W Antofagasta, Chile Find: 2018 Apr 15 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6, melt breccia) Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Melt rock supported breccia with clasts of ordinary chondrite (L6). The clasts are shock darkened, with pervasive metal/sulfide veinlets and droplets. Chromite and plagioclase to 200 µm in the clasts. Classification: L6-melt breccia. L group based on magnetic susceptibility. Likely paired with Caleta el Cobre 051. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
