Northwest Africa 6505 (NWA 6505) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: Feb 2009 Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CK4) Petrography: Chondrules average ~900 μm in apparent diameter and lack clear glass. Chondrule types include PO, BO and POP varieties. There are some low-Ca pyroxene grains in the rock that have polysynthetic twins. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
