Northwest Africa 14119 (NWA 14119) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2020 Feb Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CK4) History: Purchased by Ziyao Wang in February 2020 from a dealer in Laayoune, Morocco. Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS and J. Boesenberg, BrownU) Well-formed chondrules containing equilibrated olivine and Cr-magnetite are set in a recrystallized matrix containing Cr-magnetite, augite, calcic plagioclase, ilmenite, pentlandite and minor altered metal. Geochemistry: Chondrule olivine (Fa32.3±0.5, range Fa31.6-32.7, N = 6), matrix and chondrule augite (Fs13.4±3.4Wo48.3±0.9, range Fs10.9-17.2Wo47.6-49.2, N = 3), plagioclase (An66.2-77.4Or0.8-0.5, N = 4), magnetite (Cr2O3 4.3-5.1 wt.%, TiO2 0.1 wt.%, Al2O3 1.4-2.8 wt.%, N = 4).
