Purchased: 2020 Feb

Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CK4)

History: Purchased by Ziyao Wang in February 2020 from a dealer in Laayoune, Morocco.

Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS and J. Boesenberg, BrownU) Well-formed chondrules containing equilibrated olivine and Cr-magnetite are set in a recrystallized matrix containing Cr-magnetite, augite, calcic plagioclase, ilmenite, pentlandite and minor altered metal.

Geochemistry: Chondrule olivine (Fa_32.3±0.5, range Fa_31.6-32.7, N = 6), matrix and chondrule augite (Fs_13.4±3.4Wo_48.3±0.9, range Fs_10.9-17.2Wo_47.6-49.2, N = 3), plagioclase (An_66.2-77.4Or_0.8-0.5, N = 4), magnetite (Cr₂O₃ 4.3-5.1 wt.%, TiO₂ 0.1 wt.%, Al₂O₃ 1.4-2.8 wt.%, N = 4).

Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CK4).

Specimens: 26 g including one polished thin section at UWB; remainder with WangZ.
