Find: 2008 Sep 05

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L5)

History: This stone was recovered by Robert Verish along the eroded margin of a dry lake.

Physical characteristics: This 4.0 g chondritic stone is a dark-brown, weathered fragment.

Petrography: (D. Sheikh, FSU) Chondrules absent. Recrystallized matrix with plagioclase (10-15 μm).

Geochemistry: Olivine, Fa24.60±0.9 (N=25); orthopyroxene, Fs22.05±0.9Wo1.82±0.4 (N=25).

Classification: Ordinary Chondrite (L5)

Specimens: 2.40 grams at UCLA; main mass with Verish.
