Aammiq        33°42’N, 35°50’E

Al Biqa’, Lebanon

Find: ca. 2000

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H6)

History: The unknown finder gave the sample to Estephan Abboud who gave it to François Escuillié. The sample was then deposited for identification with Sibelle Maksoud and Dany Ayzar, Lebanese University, Beirut, who brought it to Geneva for classification.

Physical characteristics: Complete stone, showing dark brownish to black surface, with relics of fusion crust.

Petrography: .

Classification: Based on petrography and mineral composition this meteorite is classified as H6.

Specimens: 42.2 g and one polished thin section at MHNGE, main mass at Museum MIM, Beirut.
