Macroscopic Description: Kathleen McBride
The exterior has thick black fusion crust with polygonal fractures on its entire surface. The matrix is black, charcoal-like with an oxidation rind. The meteorite contains white and rust colored chondrules/inclusions, less then 1 mm in size.
Thin Section (, 3) Description: Tim McCoy and Linda Welzenbach
The section consists of small chondrules (rarely up to 1 mm), mineral grains and CAIs set in a black matrix; rare metal and sulfide grains are present. Olivine compositions are Fa0-51, with many grains Fa0-1. A single orthopyroxene is Fs1. The matrix consists dominantly of an Fe-rich serpentine. The meteorite is a CM2 chondrite
