El Atchane 018 30°06’59.8"N, 4°25’31.5"E Ouargla, Algeria Find: 2018 March Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CV3) Petrography: The chondrite with large chondrules (~1 mm), AOAs, and CAIs set in abundant fine-grained Fe-rich matrix. Main silicates include olivine, low-Ca, and Ca-pyroxene. Opaque areas are basically made of terrestrial alteration products. Geochemistry: Most olivine in chondrules and in AOAs is Fo-rich. The average composition of olivines is Fa6.1±11.2 (range: 0-57; N=27). Mean low-Ca pyroxene is Fs1.6±0.6 (range 0-4; n=24).
