Near Muckera Rockhole, Nullarbor, South Australia, Australia

Found 1991

Stone. Howardite

Two stones of together 98 g were found near Muckera Rockhole. In the vicinity the howardite Muckera (now Muckera 001) was found in 1950. Classification and analysis, 6.6% CaO, 17.4% FeO, 500 ppm Ni, 21 ppb Ir, shows broad dark veins, F. Wlotzka and B. Spettel, Max-Planck-Institut Mr Chemie, Box 3060, D-6500 Mainz, Germany. Information and main mass, David New, P.O. Box 278, Anacortes, Washington 98221, USA.
