Huangtuya 005 42°56’51.53"N, 91°3’19.45"E Xinjiang, China Find: 22 Sept 2021 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H~6) History: (Ziyao Wang) Discovered by Bakiriy in the Xinjiang desert Physical characteristics: (Ziyao Wang) 8 brown-black stones without fusion crust. The largest individual is 2580 g, in total 3250 g Petrography: (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) brown recrystallized matrix with indistinct chondrules, some metal and sulfide specks. Vugs and cracks are partly filled with Fe-oxihydrate, carbonates and quartz grains. Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.80 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H6, W2-3) Specimens: 20.6 g on deposit at Kiel, main mass with Mr. Bakiriy, and 91 g with Bart. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
