DISCOVERY OF THE ETOSHA, SOUTH WEST AFRICA, IRON METEORITE Name: ETOSHA Place of find: Etosha game reserve, NW of Tsumeb, South West Africa. Approximately 18°30'S, 16°E. Date of find: Not known. Class and type: Iron. Coarse octahedrite (IC). Number of individual specimens: 1 Total weight: 110.7 kg Circumstances of find: The meteorite was found by the Reverend Van Reysen near the Etosha game reserve, and presented to the University of Potchefstroom.
