Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H4)

History: Four fragments (65.68, 7.06, 3.14, and 2.87 g) were found found 3 January 2017 by the UrFU meteorite expedition-2017 in Iran (Pastukhovich A.Yu., Larionov M.Yu., Kruglikov N.A., Zamyatin D.A.) in the northern sandy part of the Lut desert.

Physical characteristics: All fragments have angular to roughly rounded shape. The surface and interior of the meteorite is light to dark brown in color due to abundant Fe-hydroxides. Some parts have glassy-like surface due to desert weathering. No fusion crust was observed.

Petrography: Classification (K. Dugushkina, RAS-UB). Chondrite with fine-grained, recrystallized matrix. Predominantly porphyritic olivine (PO) and porphyritic olivine-pyroxene (POP) chondrules. Chondrules have clear boundaries. Heavy oxidation of metal and troilite, 60-95% being replaced (W3). There is a network of thin metal-troilite shock veins in fractures in olivine, pyroxene and plagioclase. Shock stage is S3.

Geochemistry: EDX analyses by K. Dugushkina, RAS-UB. The chondrite paragenesis includes olivine Fa17.8±1.0 (N=34), orthopyroxene En83.9±0.9Fs15.0±0.8Wo1.1±0.3 (N=14), clinopyroxene En45.6±0.5Fs5.4±0.8Wo49.0±0.9, plagioclase, chromite (average composition (N=5): Cr2O3 55.0±1.9 wt%, FeO 31.7±2.1 wt%, MgO 2.7±0.2 wt%, Al2O3 6.8±0.4 wt%, TiO2 1.6±0.2 wt%, SiO2 0.6±0.1 wt%, NiO 0.3±0.2 wt%), troilite, FeNi-metal, apatite and merrillite (SiO2 1,38 wt%, FeO 2,74 wt%, MgO 3,92 wt%, CaO 45,38 wt%, Na2O 2,69 wt%, P2O5 42,92 wt%).

Classification: (K. Dugushkina, RAS-UB) H4, ordinary chondrite.

Specimens: 71.69 g (4 samples) and 6.30 g cut-off and thin section, UrFU
