Northwest Africa 14824 (NWA 14824) (Northwest Africa) Find: 2016 Feb Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L3) Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Chondrite with well-delineated packed chondrules. Chondrule mesostasis is devitrified. Opaque veins are present. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa23.1±3.9, range Fa16.4-29.4, Fa PMD 13% (n=7). Low-Ca pyroxene Fs8.3±9.1Wo1.3±1.5, range Fs1.9-21.1 (n=3). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L3). L group form magnetic susceptibility and olivine Fa content. Specimens: Type specimen at CEREGE.
