Caleta el Cobre 032 (CeC 032) 24°15’S, 70°31’W Antofagasta, Chile Find: 2018 Apr Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L4) History: Found in the Atacama desert. Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Chondrite with well-delineated, packed chondrules with average apparent diameter 770±240 µm (n=20). Opaque are metal and troilite. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa24.8±13, range Fa22.0-26.4, Fa PMD 4.2% (n=8). Low-Ca pyroxene Fs14.4±6.2Wo1.3±1.1, range Fs4.9-21.1 (n=10). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L4).
