Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L4)

History: A weathered, ordinary chondrite was recovered by Anton Clemons on January 30, 2020, while he was searching for additional stones of the Cargo Muchacho Mountains (CO3) meteorite.

Physical characteristics: One main stone, which is blocky-shaped and dark-brown, and one fragment which can be physically-paired to the main-mass. The main-mass has a relict fusion-crust except for the corners and edges. A cut surface reveals an interior of matrix-supported chondrules of various colors and sizes.

Petrography: (D. Sheikh, FSU) Sample is an ordinary chondrite containing chondrules (Av. 600±50µm), Fe-Ni metal, troilite, and chromite.

Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa25.0±0.6, range Fa24.2-26.0, n=16), Low-Ca Pyroxene (Fs21.5±0.7Wo1.2±0.2, range Fs20.5-22.7Wo0.9-1.6, n=15).

Classification: Ordinary Chondrite (L4)

Specimens: 21 g and a thin section at UCLA; main mass with Verish.
