Al Haggounia 011        27.320°N, 12.128°W

Saguia el Hamra, Western Sahara

Purchased: 2020 Sep

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6)

History: Found in by Mohamed Hira and Ismail Elguirah in September 2018 and purchased by John Higgins in September, 2020, from a dealer in Ouarzazate, Morocco.

Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS and P. Carpenter, WUSL) Largely recrystallized with rare chondrule remnants. Accessory phases are sodic plagioclase, troilite, altered kamacite, merrillite, chlorapatite and low-Ti chromite.

Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa25.1±0.1, range Fa24.9-25.2, N = 6), low-Ca pyroxene (Fs21.2±0.7Wo1.6±0.1, range Fs20.7-22.4Wo1.5-1.8, N = 5), augite (Fs9.9±1.6Wo43.6±1.1, range Fs8.1-11.2Wo44.9-42.9, N = 3).

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6).

Specimens: 134 g including one polished thin section at UWB; remainder with Mr. J. Higgins.
