Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS and P. Carpenter, WUSL) Very closely packed, well-formed glass-bearing chondrules (apparent diameter 1510±960 µm, N = 24) are set in a very sparse fine grained matrix. Accessory phases include troilite, kamacite and taenite. Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa23.3±12.9, range Fa4.9-43.8, N = 10; Cr2O3 in ferroan olivine <0.09 wt.%), low-Ca pyroxene (Fs16.6±8.7Wo2.4±1.8, range Fs2.6-25.5Wo0.4-4.9, N = 5), pigeonite (Fs30.5Wo16.8), augite (Fs4.6Wo37.4), plagioclase in chondrule (An82.9Or0.2). Magnetic susceptibility log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.25. Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL3). Specimens: 21.6 g including one polished thin section at UWB; remainder with Mr. M. Arjdal. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
