Northwest Africa 10041 (NWA 10041) Morocco Find: Apr 2012 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL5) Physical characteristics: One single stone with a partial fusion crust. Petrography: A few chondrules are visible. Recrystallization is extensive. Major phases are olivine and low-Ca pyroxene. Accessory phases include troilite, albite, and FeNi metal. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa=26.9±0.9 (n=26), Pyroxene Fs22.1±0.8Wo1.3±0.6 (n=19), and albite (Ab80-88). Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL5). Specimens: 20 g at PMO. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
