Northwest Africa 13461 (NWA 13461) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: August, 2020 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (LL5-6) History: The meteorite was purchased from a dealer in Morocco. Physical characteristics: Two brownish to orange fragments with patches of black fusion crust. Petrography: The meteorite is a strongly altered chondritic breccia composed of LL6 type clasts (plagioclase grain size about 80 μm) set into LL5 type matrix (plagioclase grain size about 40 μm). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
