Northwest Africa 13798 (NWA 13798) ~31°05’N, ~3°57’W Centre-South, Morocco Find: 2010 Classification: L~3-6 History: Discovered by Ait Kabboura Imad close to Merdane in 2010 Physical characteristics: One 201.6 g brown stone Petrography: host rock of light gray matrix with distinct chondrules (0.3-1.2 mm) bears fragments of dark gray matrix with excellent outlined chondrules (0.3-0.9 mm) and light brown matrix with Indistinct chondrules Geochemistry: Magnetic susceptibility (R. Bartoschewitz, Bart) log χ (× 10-9 m3/kg) = 4.58 Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L~3-6, W1) Specimens: 21.0 g on deposit at Kiel, Ait Kabboura Imad (Liege/B) holds the main mass, and 15 g with Bart. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
