Barcelona (stone): recovery of material and classification.
J. Llorca, UPC, reports that fragments of the previously lost meteorite were discovered in a glass jar, accompanied by an old label, in the Salvador Cabinet collection (Botanic Institute of Barcelona). The fragments are very well preserved and partially covered by fresh fusion crust. Analyses show olivine, Fa25.8±1.0 (n=12); low-Ca pyroxene, Fs21.7±0.6Wo1.4±0.0 (n=11). Classification: L5, S4, W0. Specimens: 49.8 g and 33.7 g, MCNB.
