DISCOVERY OF THE HUNTER, USA, STONY METEORITE Name: HUNTER Place of find: Garfield County, Oklahoma, USA. 36°33'36"N., 97°40'W. Date of find: Early 1960's. Recognized 1971. Class and type: Stone. Olivine-hypersthene chondrite, amphoterite. Olivine Fa29. Number of individual specimens: 1 Total weight: 74.6 kg known Circumstances of find: Unearthed by a bulldozer during the terracing of a field.
