Northwest Africa 10341 (NWA 10341) (Northwest Africa) Purchased: 2015 Classification: Rumuruti chondrite (R6) Petrography: Fresh dark-grayish interior. A breccia composed of heterogeneously distributed type 6 lithic fragments in a fine-grained clastic groundmass. Ferroan olivine is the dominant mineral phase in clasts and groundmass. Minor phases include albitic feldspar, augite, chromite, pentlandite and pyrrhotite. FeNi metal is virtually absent. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
