Rio do Pires Estado da Bahia, Brazil Found before 1991 October 10 Ordinary chondrite (L6) A piece of 118 g was brought to Prof H. Shigame, Universidade Federal Da Bahia, Instituto de Geosciencias, by a former student working in Rio do Pires. The circumstances of the fmd are poorly known. Classification, analysis: olivine Fa25.2, pyroxene Fs21.6, contains shock veins and maskelynite, shock stage S6.
