Los Vientos 385 (LoV 385) 24°41’S, 69°46’W Antofagasta, Chile Find: 2020 Apr 04 Classification: Ureilite Physical characteristics: Dark brown stone. Petrography: (J. Gattacceca, CEREGE) Blocky assemblage of olivine with reduced rims. Grain size ~1.5 mm. Carbon material is present at grain rims. Metal is present along grain rims and as small aligned or isolated μm-size blebs within olivine. Troilite is present. Geochemistry: Olivine Fa18.5±0.2, FeO/MnO = 43.6±2.9, CaO 0.33±0.02 wt%, Cr2O3 0.69±0.03 wt% (n=3). Olivine rim Fa 11.2 (n=1). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
