NASA SBAG Steering Committee Interest Request

On behalf of Small Bodies Assessment Group (SBAG):

Over the past couple of years, the SBAG Steering Committee has structured itself so that it has nine members with staggered three year terms. The committee seeks to represent the diversity of small body science, techniques, and also types of institutions. This August, three people are scheduled to rotate off of the committee:

Mark Sykes (PSI), Chair
Nancy Chabot (APL)
Amy Mainzer (JPL)

Nancy will be beginning a new term as SBAG Chair. The committee is seeking two individuals for full three year terms commencing this August.

Please review the Terms of Reference, which is the charter describing SBAG’s role in providing input to NASA.

As a member, you will be responsible for helping organize the two annual meetings, gathering community input, putting together Special Action Teams as needed, and crafting the findings that constitute the committee’s input on behalf of the small bodies community.

The continuing members of the Steering Committee are listed here.

If you are interested in serving your community on this committee, please send an email to Mark Sykes ([email protected]) and include a CV in PDF format.
