NASA has released a Request for Information (RFI) on system concepts and innovative approaches for both aspects of the recently announced Asteroid Initiative. The initiative includes an Asteroid Redirect Mission, and an
increased focus on defending our planet against the threat of catastrophic asteroid collisions.

Respondents should review RFI submission guidelines outlined in the RFI.

On June 27 at 2 p.m., NASA will host a Google+ Hangout session in which technical experts will address a selection of respondent questions. Check Asteroid Initiative RFI starting June 25 for more details on the Hangout session.
