This inaugural Mavericks Lab is focused on applying machine learning technologies to the task of planetary defense.
Mavericks Lab will be hosted at NASA Ames and SETI over the Summer of 2016.
For the inaugural year, applications for Planetary Science are open to US citizens only, and applications for Data Science are open to international applicants.
For further information see the FAQ.
We’re looking for candidates and mentors who have deep skills in their core area (Planetary or Data Science). The application process involves suggesting a new method, approach or hypothesis that could inform the work of the accelerator. We’d also like to hear how you might go about prototyping your idea. You will also need to supplement your application with a two letters of recommendation.
