Two fixed-term staff positions are available at the Open University, UK starting in June 2016 (or soon thereafter).
1. The Open University is seeking a highly competent and motivated postdoctoral researcher for a Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) funded research grant to conduct geochemical and isotopic measurements of lunar samples to investigate the abundance and isotopic composition of water and other associated volatiles in the lunar interior. 2. They are also seeking to appoint a highly competent person to run the NanoSIMS 50L facility at the Open University. The instrument is used to support a diverse research portfolio primarily in the field of Planetary Sciences investigating meteorites, analogues, and a range of returned samples (i.e. lunar, asteroidal, cometary) as well as applications in geo/environmental and materials sciences.
