The final phase of the Cassini mission offered an unprecedented view of Saturn, as captured in this image and others, with resolutions as high as 0.5 km/pixel. These new images have shown some features similar to those found on the Earth, like cumulus clouds and more exotic threadlike cloud filaments. This new information should be able to leverage cloud formation models of the Earth, which could then be extended to Saturn models.
