The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, is looking to hire an assistant professor in the broad area of Planetary Sciences; specific research specialty is open. Interested applicants must have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment; start date is expected for Fall 2019.
The successful candidate will build and maintain an active, externally funded research program that complements or extends the strengths of the department’s ongoing planetary research in the areas of planetary petrology, isotope geochemistry, planetary geophysics, and astrobiology. The successful candidate is also expected to teach graduate and undergraduate level courses, participate in outreach, and contribute to departmental and university service. in the departments of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy, Marine
and Coastal Sciences, and Environmental Sciences, as well as the Institute of Earth, Oceans, and
