Cancelled: Planetary Palooza on March 15 in The Woodlands

The Planetary Palooza event for March 15 in The Woodlands has been cancelled. This event was organized to incorporate scientists attending the 2020 Lunar and Planetary Science Conference, which has been cancelled due to concerns about COVID-19. We hope to hold it again in 2021, and invite you to attend other free public events that we hold at the Lunar and Planetary Institute.

All are invited to attend the free “Planetary Palooza” event that will be held March 15 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on the upper level of the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. The event includes a variety of hands-on activities for family audiences and a series of presentations by planetary scientists regarding ongoing research and missions. Topics will include asteroids, astrobiology, icy moons, returning samples from the Moon, and robotic missions studying the solar system. This event is free, and no RSVP is needed. There will be free parking available in the Pavilion Parking Garage on Six Pines Drive. For more information, please go to www.lpi.usra.edu/education/planetary-science-palooza.
