Dr. Head will present a brief review of the Apollo landing sites, surface operations, and science return of each mission. He will discuss the rapid transition from achieving a national goal (Apollo 11) to performing scientific expeditions and the science and engineering synergism that helped in understanding the origin and evolution of the Moon.
