NASA’s Science Mission Directorate announces the second solicitation for Concepts for Ocean Worlds Life Detection Technology (COLDTech) technologies. This time the focus is on three specific technologies relevant to future ocean worlds missions: 1) autonomy for landed operations, 2) technology to enable communication through many kilometers of ice thickness, and 3) radiation-hard digital devices. Step 1 proposals are due December 1, 2020, and Step 2 proposals are due February 19, 2021.
