Introduction to Planetary Analogs Field Trip

Get exposure to various volcanic and aeolian planetary analog terrains in New Mexico this October 26-29. This field trip is especially suitable for educators (including K-12), undergraduates, and early graduate students who have previously lacked (much) planetary analog field geology exposure. The cost is $699, and registration is available at https://www.areslearning.com/astrogeology. A steeply discounted block of hotel rooms is available at Holiday Inn Express El Paso North.

We’ll explore the Carrizozo lava flow, White Sands National Park, Aden Volcanic Crater, and Kilbourne Hole Maar Crater, as well as a special tour of Spaceport America. If you have any questions, contact Dr. Kirby Runyon at [email protected]

If you would like to sponsor an educator (especially a K-12 teacher) or a student, please also get in touch with Kirby Runyon.
