This photograph, taken by astronaut Robert Crippen, shows an interesting curly cloud tail trailing off the western coast of Cuba. The “cloud streets” further east on the island (to the bottom of the photograph) indicate a stable airflow with regular convective condensation over land. The curling cloud tail is created by the land breeze blowing out to sea.
