30. Real Colors at VL-2

These two images have been color balanced to produce a view that is similar to what you would see if you were there. The upper image is how the surface would look to the human eye, the lower image is how the surface would look under terrestrial sky conditions (note that it appears more blue). The lower image has also been more highly processed to flatten the horizon (removing camera distortion) and to “smooth” the appearance of the sky.
